Gary Jobson, 59, is a world class sailor, television commentator and author based in Annapolis, Maryland. Gary has authored 15 sailing books and is Editor at Large of Sailing World and Cruising World magazines. He has won many championships in one design classes, the America's Cup with Ted Turner in 1977, the infamous Fastnet Race and many of the world's ocean races. In college he was an All American sailor three times and was twice named College Sailor of the Year (1972, 1973).

Again this summer we will have two "Monday Night Family Games and
Picnic", which will be held on July 20th and August 17th from 6:00 -
7:30, instead of the traditional Monday Night Dance. It will be a
casual outdoor evening featuring a barbeque and games for children ages
4 - 9 and their parents.

The CYC Junior Sailing first session Awards Ceremony will be held at noon Friday, July 24th, on the clubhouse lawn. Awards and certificates will be presented to sailors in the Beginner, Intermediate, and Adventure Opti classes, as well as to those in the Messing About in Boats class. Refreshments will be served.

Junior Sailing second session begins July 27th and continues through August 21st.

Come and enjoy a lovely day of instruction, lunch, and doubles play at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport. Ladies of all ages (18 plus) and abilities are invited to attend a full day of fun, which includes: private doubles clinic coached by Mary Rompf; lunch at the LaForge Restaurant and a visit to the Hall of Fame Museum. Top the day off with more tennis "on the grass," and your game will be fine-tuned just in time for the CYC tourneys!
