Courts

Courts open at 8:30am each day. Prior to play, two members must be present to sign for a court. All guests must be signed in before play. Doubles have preference over singles until 10 am. 1-1/2 hour play for doubles and 1 hour play for singles. Adults have preference to 10:00 am. Please feel free to sweep court before and/or after play. Courts closed as posted. Two courts shall always be available for adult members during junior tennis clinics. The Head Tennis Professional reserves the right to utilize Court 8 for lessons from 8:30 am until closing any day of the week, excluding extraordinary circumstance, such as tournaments or other instances where all courts are needed for a pre-planned special event.

Dress Code

Appropriate ALL White Attire is to be worn at all times by all tennis players, including juniors. Proper tennis shoes are required by all players. Basketball, jogging or other athletic shoes, boat shoes and bare feet are prohibited.

House Rules

Cell phone use is prohibited in the clubhouse, on the deck, on the tennis and platform courts, and in the tennis hut. Cell phone use is only permitted in the tennis parking lot. No dogs shall be allowed on any Club premises except when being escorted on a leash by a member to and from a boat. Membership numbers must be written on chits. Please know and use your correct number.

Fees and Rates

Private Lessons...............$30 per 1/2 hr, $60 per hour.
Group Lessons..................available upon request.
Assistant Fill-In Fee...........$9.99 per hour (players present will be billed)
Guest Fees........................$10 per person per court.
Ball Machine Rental........$15 per hour.

NOTE: The first date listed for a tournament is when the tournament begins. The last date will be the finals. When you enter a tournament, you must be prepared to play on the scheduled dates.

Other

Please drive slowly and abide by all posted speed and traffic signs coming and going from the courts. The posted speed limit in the Shoreby Hill neighborhood is 15mph. The tennis staff will not be responsible for watching children while their parents play tennis.

Racquets , stringing, balls, clothing and other tennis related items are on sale at the Tennis Hut.
